๐Ÿ’™ CHEESESTEAK STUFFED PEPPERS ๐Ÿ’™

Image
WW Blue ๐Ÿ’™ Plan= 4 points per serving  If you follow me on Instagram (full_of_lemons), then you have seen me make these amazing Cheesesteak Stuffed Peppers last week!   Since I have started on Weight Watchers, I have been learning how to make healthier things for myself even when my family likes it another way.  For instance, instead of making myself a full blown cheesesteak on a giant sub roll, I decided to take the same ingredients I would want on my Cheesesteak and instead make it a whole new healthier way.  And that's what I did.... I started with 2 green bell peppers.  Halved them and hollowed them out. I then boiled them in salted water for about 10 minutes.  I then transferred them to a greased baking dish and added some meat (i used Steakums) to each one. I then topped them with sautรฉed onions and mushrooms!   After hand grating a block of fresh white cheddar cheese, I topped the peppers with it.

If you've read my last post,  you know all about my start into the Weight Watchers journey!  I'm keeping track of points and trying to stay away from tons of sugary foods.  I wanted to make something special for my boys so I thought a fun Valentine's themed dessert would be fun!  Turns out, I created this amazingly good sugar free treat that is so easy to make! (And only 5 POINTS ON WW BLUE ๐Ÿ’™) All you need is: Sugar free strawberry jello Sugar free chocolate pudding Sugar free whipped cream (I also used a few sprinkles and a chocolate heart for decoration) Make these: Layer the pudding, jello, and whipped cream, twice!  Top with some sprinkles and an chocolate heart! Line them up on a pretty tray and add a few festive wrapped pieces of candy.  Simple,  cute, and delicious! **Other options: top with a fresh strawberry or even a chocolate covered strawberry! ๐Ÿ“ Also, you can dip the glass in water and then rim with sprinkles for an extra festive touch!  I really hope you'

๐Ÿ’™ New Year, New Dreams, New Me ๐Ÿ’™

Well hi there!  I know it's been a few day but here I am!  Two weeks ago I decided to sign up for Weight Watchers.  They were offering a 3 month free sign up and I was feeling motivated so I signed up. After giving my info and measurements,  they placed me on the BLUE๐Ÿ’™ plan.  (There is also green and purple)  The blue plan offers you more choices in the zero point foods category. These are foods that don't the away from my daily point value, which for me, started at 30.   The zero point foods are mainly fruits and vegetables,  eggs, beans, chicken breasts, and turkey breasts.   I can also use the WW app to keep track of my weight loss,  my daily points,  track my meals, scan barcodes when grocery shopping to look up point value, and to keep me accountable.   It really is easy to navigate and definitely helps!  I've learned how things I used to eat were in very unhealthy point ranges and I can now tailor my diet around foods that I can eat with no regrets.  In addition to d

Happy New Year's! 2021

Well.... First,  let me start by saying good bye 2020!  Although 2020 had it's ups and downs and mostly downs for some, 2020 wasn't so horrible for me.  My family and I have spent more time together.  We went (safely) on trips to Florida, New Jersey, Ocean City Maryland, and many many beach days.  My husband and I got to go away for a few days over labor day weekend to spend some time in Disney.  We got to visit Epcot for a day without bored kids who got to spend some time with their grandparents.  In 2020, I learned how to be more patient.  Having my kids home for zoom learning every day has tested my patience and my nerves from time to time, but honestly,  I've loved having them home and away from any germs they could catch at school.   I've also learned how to spend more time taking care of myself.  I've learned that it's okay to take time for myself.  It's okay to stop and smell the roses.  It's okay to have dreams and goals and even fantasies.  It&#

Even though  I now reside in Delaware, I'm still a Marylander through and through.  Born and raised in Bel Air, Maryland, you come to know a lot about seafood from the Chesapeake Bay.  Especially,  the Maryland Blue Crab.  Crabs really do give off the best flavor.  I've had my share of steamed crabs, crab cakes, crab imperial,  cream of crab soup, and crab stuffed flounder.  The one thing that is always constant and takes an art to prepare correctly is Maryland Crab Soup.  It has to have the deep rich flavor of beef broth and covered in only the best seasonings,  the main one being Old Bay.  Another good thing about crab soup is its always better the second day!  So if you're looking for the best recipe for Maryland Crab Soup from a true Marylander, than look no further.  As always,  let me know if you try it and how you like it!   You can also follow me on Instagram at @full_of_lemons for more great content!  ๐Ÿฆ€MARYLAND CRAB SOUP๐Ÿฆ€ 1 carton beef stock 1 can beef broth 2 cu

If you have ever been to Trader Joe's,  then you know the uniqueness of some of their items.  Especially for the holidays, they think outside the box in every aspect.   This year they even had a Chocolate Passport which would make a great little gift for someone.  Also, the many other festive items like "Thanksgiving" flavored potato chips and sparkling cranberry juice. On this particular trip to Trader Joe's,  I picked up 3 items to make a little festive appetizer.  This wound up being a big hit for my family and my kids thought it was super fancy.  The cool thing is,  if you don't have a Trader Joe's,  you can make this using normal everyday products from any grocery store.   I'll show you how, below! ❤๐ŸŽ„FESTIVE CRANBERRY SPREAD๐ŸŽ„❤ 1 Block cream cheese, softened 1 cup TJ orange-cranberry relish 1 box of TJ Pistachio-Pomegranete Crisps  1. Place cream cheese on a festive cheese platter or plate.    2. Spread reliish over the top of the cream cheese, allow

Easy Instant Pot Potatoes ๐Ÿ‹

Image
Do you have in Instant Pot sitting somewhere in your kitchen collecting dust because you're too afraid to use it?  I'll admit, they can be intimidating.  The first time I used it I made chicken and sweet potatoes.   The sweet potatoes came out perfect,  the chicken I wasn't a fan of.  But, I kept peeking around the corner to make sure my Instant Pot didn't explode or have stuff shooting out of it.    This second time, I decided to try these small potatoes to see how they would turn out and for practice.    They.  Were. So. Good!  So, I thought in the spirit of beginners with the Instant Pot, that I would share my simple recipe step by step! (I used a 3qt for this recipe) Easy IP Potatoes 1-2 lbs small potatoes 1 cup cold water 1/4 cup white wine 2T olive oil Salt,  Pepper, Garlic Powder (or your favorite seasonings) Shredded cheese,  butter, and sour cream for toppings Step 1:  Plug in your Instant Pot and lay the rack on the bottom of the insert.   Add the
